Jr Estimator
Owatonna, MN
Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm
$22-$25 an hour depending on experience
Job Duties for Jr Estimator:
- Assist or coordinate the timely and complete development of electrical cost estimates
- Perform and validate electrical take-offs from drawings and specifications
- Coordinate the input parameters for cost estimates
- Assist in compiling information from all estimating disciplines into one cost estimate
- Establish site-specific estimating criteria including wage and person-hour productivity rates
- Provide innovative solutions for construction, estimating issues and problems.
- Review design documents such as specifications and drawings to identify risks and opportunities related to competitive pricing for key project elements.
Requirements of Jr Estimator
- Knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials and processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical thinker with a professional demeanor
- Ability to prioritize given tasks and work efficiently towards completing them
- Good computer knowledge
- Excellent customer service skills
- Understanding of the National Electrical Code
