2nd SHIFT MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR, OPERATIONS

This Supervisor position is accountable for supporting the manufacturing team, providing direct and timely feedback, coaching and mentoring the team, transacting production schedules, assigning work, maintaining performance, managing departmental metrics, and supporting the company leadership.
The role involves overseeing key areas such as safety, production, performance, training, facility and equipment maintenance, communication, and leadership. The position is responsible for supervising a team of 15 to 24 staff members, ensuring that all operations run efficiently and effectively while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
The daily responsibilities of a Manufacturing Supervisor are critical to ensuring smooth manufacturing operations. This includes maintaining a safe work environment for all employees and actively working to reduce risks. Regular communication is essential, including conducting toolbox talks at least once a week. The supervisor is responsible for scheduling resources and personnel to meet the production schedule and must consistently prioritize meeting customer requirements. Additionally, the role requires providing the Plant Manager with a pre-shift performance forecast to support overall operational planning.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience leading or supervising teams in a sheet metal fabrication or machining environment. They should be comfortable enforcing rules and policies and have a strong desire to provide timely, fair, and accurate feedback to both employees and leadership. Problem-solving skills are essential, particularly when it comes to improving performance. A solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes, along with mechanical aptitude, is required. The role also demands proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft applications, as well as the ability to analyze data to support root cause corrective actions and employee development. A driven, personable attitude and strong team orientation are key to success in this position.
The salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $80,000 and includes a base salary along with a performance-based annual bonus, determined by relevant experience.
