Diesel Mechanic (Direct Hire)
Job Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic. This role is hands-on and focused on diagnosing problems, fixing what’s broken, doing preventative maintenance, and getting trucks back into safe, reliable, road-ready condition.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and driveline systems
- Inspect used mixer trucks and determine what repairs are needed
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine service work
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and brake systems
- Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and schematics to get the job done right
- Record repairs and maintenance work accurately
- Follow safety rules and shop procedures at all times
- Work with the team to keep trucks moving and meet deadlines
What We’re Looking For
- 4+ years of diesel mechanic experience (heavy trucks or construction equipment)
- Solid understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, and brakes
- Comfortable reading service manuals and wiring diagrams
- Skilled with diagnostic tools and shop equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Welding or fabrication experience is a plus
- Reliable, organized, safety-minded, and takes pride in quality work
- Technical school or formal training is a plus, but not required
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to stand, bend, kneel, and work in tight spaces
- Comfortable working in a shop with heavy equipment
Schedule & Pay
- Full-time, steady work
- Monday–Thursday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Friday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM (early Fridays)
- Pay: $22.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience
