Electrical Controls Engineer (Winona, MN)
Our client is a turnkey machine builder delivering custom automation, assembly, test, and validation equipment to manufacturers worldwide. We’re growing and looking for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer to join our team.
What You’ll Do:
• Design, program, and implement electrical control systems for custom machinery
• Work directly with customers to define project specs
• Program PLCs (Allen-Bradley preferred, Siemens, Mitsubishi)
• Develop HMI/SCADA systems and industrial networks
• Test, troubleshoot, and support system installations
• Ensure compliance with UL and industry standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience with PLC platforms, including Siemens, Allen-Bradley (preferred), Mitsubishi, and others
- Proficiency in SCADA systems, HMI programming, and industrial networking
- Familiarity with IEC, IEEE, NEC, and other relevant industry standards
- Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, codes, and robotics integration
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
What You Bring:
• Electrical Engineering or Controls degree (or equivalent experience)
• Strong PLC, HMI, and industrial networking experience
• Solid knowledge of electrical schematics and codes
• Ability to manage multiple custom projects
Compensation:
- $75K–$90K (Pending experience), plus full benefits, 401(k) match, and PTO
