Quality Control Inspector I
Monday – Friday: 8am-4:30pm. No weekend work unless a special project or issue that needs to be addressed with QC comes up but that is RARE.
Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read and interpret drawings, schedules, inspection plans, control charts and validates documentation
- Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, or electrical characteristics.
- Audit operations to ensure employees comply with quality standards.
- Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
- Advises employees on how to adjust and use precision instruments
- Support LEAN Transformation by actively participating in Kaizen teams and completing post Kaizen activities
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing setting is preferred
- Able to read and follow work instructions, quality, and safety protocols
- Dependable and independent but also able to work well within a team
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and stand for 8 hours per day
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
