Material Handler
Winona, MN | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Are you looking for a steady weekday schedule and a hands-on warehouse role? We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to support receiving, inventory management, order picking, and production support activities. This position plays a key role in keeping materials organized and production running efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Receive incoming shipments and inspect freight for damage
- Document and help resolve freight claims when needed
- Verify and process incoming inventory according to company procedures
- Pick parts and products accurately to fulfill orders
- Supply materials to production areas as needed
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives
- Complete inventory transactions and maintain accurate records
- Load and unload freight using material handling equipment
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, lift trucks, overhead cranes, and related equipment
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, inventory, or material handling experience preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to follow procedures and maintain accurate records
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while remaining coachable and flexible
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk throughout the shift
- Regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Push and pull large steel components and other heavy materials
- Work in a warehouse and manufacturing environment
