Auto Mechanic Technician (A/B Level)

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Pay: $23.00-$28.00/hour DOE

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Auto Mechanic Technician to join a busy automotive service team. This position is ideal for an A or B Level Technician who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide variety of passenger vehicles.
The ideal candidate has a strong automotive repair background, enjoys problem-solving, and can efficiently handle everything from routine maintenance to advanced diagnostics and repairs. Most work will involve dealership inventory and customer vehicles, with the potential for increased public-facing service work as the business continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of passenger vehicles.
- Conduct inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
- Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling system, and engine repairs.
- Perform tune-ups, fluid services, and preventative maintenance.
- Utilize scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle issues.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, and recommendations.
- Ensure repairs are completed efficiently and to quality standards.
- Test drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs and diagnose concerns.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Collaborate with service advisors and team members to deliver exceptional customer service.
- Stay informed on evolving vehicle systems and repair procedures.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 2 years of professional automotive repair experience.
- A-Level or strong B-Level Technician skills.
- Broad automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR).
- Ownership of personal automotive tools.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred
- ASE Certifications.
- Dealership or independent repair shop experience.
- Experience with electrical diagnostics and drivability concerns.
- Experience using OEM and aftermarket diagnostic software.
- Ability to perform advanced repairs independently.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, lifts, and shop equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
