Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Process and pay medical claims
- Make determinations regarding paying or denying medical claims
- Answer questions and address customer concerns regarding eligibility, benefit coverages, network, and pricing
- Respond to customer inquiries via call, email, fax, etc.
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years of medical claims processing experience required
- Associate degree in a related field preferred
- Must have medical terminology certification within 6 months of start date
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Computer proficiency with an understanding of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Basic mathematical capabilities
Schedule/Pay:
- Monday through Friday from 8:15am – 5:00pm (occasional 9:15am – 6:00pm flexibility required)
- Some overtime may be required during peak seasons
- Pay up to $24/hr
- This is a hybrid/remote schedule with 2 days in-office and 3 days working from home
