Do you have a strong mechanical aptitude and a background in diesel mechanics? Are you hardworking and determined to get things done?
Express Employment Professionals is assisting several local companies in their search for skilled Diesel Mechanics. The successful candidate for these roles will have proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic and will be a dedicated team player. This role will work significant overtime hours during peak seasons, so flexibility and adaptability are a must. Candidates must be able to supply their own tools to work on trucks and trailers. This is a day shift, evaluation-to-hire position with pay up to $80,000/yr.
Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Preventative and routine maintenance on equipment such as milling machines, tractor brooms, skid loaders, semi trucks, etc.
- Diagnose and perform repairs on all areas of equipment including engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, fuel systems, air systems, hydraulic systems, electrical controls, electrical components, brakes, suspensions, steering, drivelines, etc.
- Operation of equipment upon completion of repairs to ensure appropriate operation and compliance with industry standards
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience:
- 2+ years of experience in a Diesel Technician role required
- Candidates must be able to supply their own tools to work on trucks and trailers
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Associate degree in Diesel Mechanics or a related field preferred, but not required
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Solutions-oriented with the ability to identify and solve problems
- Willingness to continue growing and learning new things
Schedule/Pay:
- Day shift, Monday through Friday with required overtime during peak seasons
- Pay up to $80,000/yr
- Employees paid weekly!
