Express Employment Professionals is seeking a personable and dedicated Furniture Sales Representative to join a local small business. The successful candidate for this role will be relationship-oriented and should be comfortable working in a high-traffic, customer-facing environment while remaining positive, professional, and helpful at all times. This is a day shift, evaluation-to-hire opportunity.
Position Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greet customers as they arrive at the store and respond to any immediate inquiries they may have
- Demonstrate product knowledge of a variety of furniture types, brands, and materials by guiding guests around the store, showing them pieces that may align with their interests and needs
- Perform house calls, visiting the homes of potential customers to measure spaces, create floor plans, and advise them on their décor needs
- Provide superior customer service throughout the sales process and making follow up calls as necessary to close deals
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Skills/Experience:
- Previous experience in furniture sales, mattress sales, or jewelry sales preferred
- Self-confident and able to pursue leads both in-person and over the phone
- Welcoming, bubbly, and friendly personality that encourages customers to return again and again
- Patient and detail-oriented
- Team player who is driven and competitive
Schedule/Pay:
- This is a 1st shift position with a company that operates 7 days per week
- Candidates will have 2 days off in a row, but they may not be the weekend days
- Base pay of $15/hr + commission for completed sales
- Employees paid weekly!
