Job Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Installation & Maintenance Technician with a strong background in electronic maintenance, mechanical repair, and electrical systems. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electronic equipment across lab and customer sites. This is the ideal position for candidates who have electrical experience in a variety of setting, such as HVAC, automotive, manufacturing, or construction, as well as those who’ve worked as a maintenance technician, electrician apprentice, or mechanic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on lab instruments and field equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic systems, including wiring schematics and control panels
- Conduct on-site and customer-site installations and repairs
- Interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, SOPs, and technical drawings
- Assemble and test complex electromechanical systems
- Provide customer support, quotes, and technical documentation
- Create and revise manuals, checklists, and training materials
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support new and existing equipment
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronic Technology, Engineering, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience as an electronics technician, maintenance technician, or similar role
- Familiarity with HVAC, automotive systems, or manufacturing equipment a plus
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to travel overnight as needed
- Self-motivated, flexible, and enthusiastic team player
