Travel: 50% required
Are you a hands-on technician with experience in construction, welding, or electrical systems? Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Installation Technician – Gate & Access Systems to join a skilled team installing automated gate systems across the continental U.S.
This is a direct hire opportunity ideal for someone with 2–3+ years of experience in gates, fencing, construction, or related trades. Whether you're an electrician apprentice, electronics technician, or apprentice electrician with a specialization in security systems and access control, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install automated gate systems, access control devices, and safety features
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on gate systems (electrical, hydraulic, keypad, etc.)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system malfunctions
- Ensure compliance with UL325 safety standards
- Demonstrate gate operation and features to customers
- Operate heavy equipment and perform concrete work as needed
Qualifications:
- 2–3+ years of experience in gates, fencing, construction, or related trades
- Familiarity with low-voltage electrical systems and security electronics
- Welding skills (arc and stick) required
- Experience operating heavy machinery (skid loaders, mini excavators, telehandlers)
- Concrete pouring and finishing experience
- Clean driving record
- Technical school diploma or apprentice electrician training a plus
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence
Schedule & Travel:
- Monday–Friday, with occasional weekend overtime
- Up to 50% travel across the U.S.
- Company vehicle provided for travel
