Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Pipe Fitter for our client located in North Charlotte, NC.
Pay: $22 +/hr. DOE 1st shift hours: Monday through Friday 5 am till finished.
Responsibilities of a Pipe Fitter:
- Lay pipe to proper grade and alignment, ensuring watertight connections.
- Perform routine inspections and leak detection on pipelines.
- Read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and utility maps.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Complete work orders, reports, and daily logs accurately.
Qualifications of a Pipe Fitter:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in pipefitting or utility construction (water/sewer).
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Ability to read blueprints, site plans, and schematics.
- Experience with pipe fusion, mechanical joint installations, or trenchless pipe methods.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, bending, digging, and standing for long periods.
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly.
- Ability to work in awkward spaces.
