Electro-Mechanical Assembler August 26, 2025

Located in Chapel Hill, NC

Pay: $55k/yr. - $70k/yr.

Roles & Responsibilities

Direct and hands on support of electrical component assembly and wiring, as well as direct support of mechanical assembly and basic electrical testing. (Soldering and cable assembly.)
Direct and hands on support for basic RF Testing (power, power spectrum, RF match).
Direct and hands on support for high voltage testing for troubleshooting.
Ability to support computer setup and test is a plus.

Requirements

Knowledge of generally acceptable wiring practices for AC power, DC power and control signal distribution in equipment.
Experience soldering components (solder cup, through-hole) and experience with crimp pin assembly. Good manual dexterity is essential.
Experience with basic electrical test and debugging methods (Multimeter, oscilloscope).
Ability to perform careful mechanical assembly.
Good verbal and written communication skills, as well as being adaptable and a quick learner.
Experience and interest in RF/Microwave hardware or test methods is a plus but not required.

Education & Experience

3 Yrs work experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in electronic assembly desired.
Associates degree in electronics is desirable but not required.
