Tax Preparation Specialist
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (Some Saturdays)
Compensation: $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Preparation Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, supporting clients throughout the filing process, and ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state tax regulations.
This position requires prior tax preparation experience. Experience working directly with a CPA or in a CPA firm is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review individual and business tax returns

Collect and organize client financial information

Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations

Communicate with clients regarding tax documents, deadlines, and follow-up items

Assist with bookkeeping tasks when needed

Collaborate with CPAs and other team members to ensure accurate and timely filings

Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
Required Qualifications

Previous tax preparation experience is required

Experience working with or for a CPA is strongly preferred

Proficiency with UltraTax and QuickBooks software

Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to manage deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
