Job Full Description
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring efficient manufacturing, quality control, and compliance with safety standards. This role leads and develops production teams to meet or exceed output, quality, and delivery goals while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise, coach, and lead production staff to meet daily manufacturing goals.

Monitor workflow and adjust schedules, resources, or assignments to maintain efficiency.

Ensure production processes meet quality standards and follow established procedures.

Train and mentor employees on safety protocols, operational procedures, and best practices.

Enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Identify and resolve production issues, escalating major concerns to management as needed.

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.

Collaborate with maintenance, quality assurance, and logistics teams to streamline operations.

Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean, 5S, Kaizen).

Assist in hiring, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.

3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, including 1–2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

Strong understanding of production workflows, quality control, and safety regulations.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using production software, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic reporting tools.

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights or weekends, depending on production needs.
Working Conditions:

Primarily on the production floor with exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

Standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required.
