Job Title:  Shop Assistant / Delivery Driver

Location: Monroe, NC
Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Type: Eval to Hire

 

Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and flexible individual to join our team as a Shop Assistant / Delivery Driver. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day-to-day responsibilities, is mechanically inclined, and takes pride in keeping a clean and organized workspace. While local driving responsibilities are minimal (approximately 5% of the job), applicants must be comfortable operating an F-350 for local deliveries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Sanitation & Shop Maintenance

  • Sweep and maintain cleanliness of the shop area daily

  • Clean particles from the bottom of the water jet machine each morning to prepare for use

• Machine Operation

  • Assist in operating the CNC machine when the CNC Machinist is unavailable

  • Monitor equipment and follow all safety procedures

• Delivery & Pickup

  • Perform occasional local deliveries and pickups (1–2 orders daily)

  • Operate an F-350 to transport parts or tools to/from Monroe and Indian Trail

  • Handle occasional packages up to 50 lbs.

• General Warehouse Support

  • Assist in various shop tasks as needed

  • Sanitation to ensure machines are running efficiently

  • Float between departments based on workflow or staffing needs

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently

• Willingness to learn and assist across multiple shop functions

• Prior experience with machine operation or warehouse work preferred but not required
