Job Title: AutoCAD Designer
Location: Fort Mill, SC
Pay: $22.00-$24.00
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our team at a custom cabinetry company. This position involves creating precise 2D and 3D CAD drawings for cabinets, built-ins, and millwork. You will be responsible for customizing dimensions and configurations, generating shop drawings for fabrication, and producing technical documentation that guides the cabinetmaking process.
Key Responsibilities:

Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for custom cabinetry, built-ins, and millwork, ensuring all client specifications are met.

Customize dimensions, configurations, and design elements to meet project requirements.

Develop shop drawings with accurate dimensions, materials, joinery methods, and hardware placements for production.

Extract cut lists from CAD drawings for CNC machine operations or manual fabrication processes.

Optimize material usage to reduce waste and support cost-saving initiatives.

Generate production-ready technical documentation, ensuring it’s clear, accurate, and precise to reduce errors in cutting, assembly, and installation.

Collaborate with shop teams to ensure designs are translated into high-quality, finished products.

Work closely with project managers and fabricators to make adjustments or modifications based on feedback.

Export AutoCAD files into CAM software for automated cutting and milling processes.

Ensure all drawings meet quality standards and comply with company design and fabrication specifications.
Requirements:

Proven experience using AutoCAD, especially in creating technical drawings for cabinetry and millwork.

Strong understanding of blueprint reading, measurements, and woodworking techniques.

Ability to customize designs based on specific client or project needs.

Proficient in creating detailed cut lists and optimizing material usage.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in producing production-ready drawings.

Knowledge of joinery methods, hardware placements, and cabinetry construction.

Strong communication skills to work effectively with both design and shop teams.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
