Schedule: Monday-Friday 5:00am - 3:30pm

Locate: Monroe, NC 

 

What you will be doing: Our client in Union County is seeking an experienced Warehouse associate with Forklift Experience. 

 

 

Receiving & Inspection

  • Unload trucks safely and securely dock them.
  • Audit materials for accuracy upon receipt.
  • Verify counts and mark packing lists accordingly; create manual packing lists if needed.
  • Deliver receiving information to data entry and QC inspection.
  • Tag all materials with the appropriate traveler.

Material Handling & Storage

  • Move materials from the receiving area to the stockroom or work-in-progress areas.
  • Store and organize materials accurately in the stockroom.
  • Transfer materials to the appropriate departments based on pick sheets, shop orders, or wireless devices.
  • Ensure consignment inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain organization and proper storage in leased warehouse areas.

Shipping & Distribution

  • Move early shipments to the shipping area for vendor returns.
  • Deliver non-productive material to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure accurate separation and arrangement of warehouse items and direct shipments.
  • Load trucks in an organized manner for complete and accurate delivery.
  • Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading, UPS manifests, and air bills.
  • Verify materials loaded onto transportation match shipping documents.
  • Enter shipping details into the computer system for record-keeping.

Inventory & Quality Control

  • Perform cycle counting as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure the accuracy of stockroom inventory.
  • Maintain accurate quantity and part numbers for shipped products.
  • Keep materials properly labeled and organized.

Equipment Operation & Safety

  • Operate forklifts (Raymond stand-up and sit-down) with a valid forklift license or obtain certification within 30 days.
  • Maintain knowledge of material handling machinery and proper loading techniques.
  • Comply with all plant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain good housekeeping practices in all work areas.

General Responsibilities

  • Enter data into the computer for tracking and inventory purposes.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications: 

  • Able to operate gas or electric powered forklift to load, unload, move, and stack materials
  • Experience with both sitting and standing positions
  • Able to maintenance the forklift and monitor proper care
  • Comfortable reading and understanding company blueprints and schematics

Experience: Forklift experience required
