Position: Maintenance Technician
Pay: $28/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6pm-6am
Location: Lancaster, SC
Our client is looking for someone who can service and troubleshoot their machinery to meet their high production demands.
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing machinery and equipment. This role requires expertise in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with a focus on forging, cutting, and finishing machines. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with production personnel to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on manufacturing machinery and equipment, including forging, cutting, and finishing machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to detect potential problems and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems to restore equipment to optimal operating condition.
- Calibrate and adjust machinery settings to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and quality in production processes.
- Collaborate with production personnel to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime during production runs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment history.
- Possess electrical knowledge, including arc flash procedures.
- Maintain Mills, Lathe machines, and Grinders.
- Work as a team player and demonstrate insightfulness in troubleshooting problems.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with preventive maintenance practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and respond to maintenance emergencies as needed.
