Job Title: EHS & ISO Quality Manager
Location: Schenectady, NY

Compensation: $95,000 - $110,000 DOE

 

Are you a quality and safety professional passionate about ISO standards, environmental health & safety (EHS), and continuous improvement? Join a growing foam and adhesive manufacturing leader as our EHS & ISO Quality Manager, where you'll champion high-quality production standards, drive safety excellence, and ensure regulatory compliance across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

ISO Quality Management

  • Lead and sustain the ISO Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure certification and ongoing compliance.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality procedures, work instructions, and process controls.

  • Maintain robust document control systems, including training records and change management documentation.

  • Plan and conduct internal audits and prepare for external and customer audits.

  • Analyze audit findings and non-conformance reports to drive corrective actions and continuous process improvement.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align quality goals with production performance and customer satisfaction.

  • Manage quality data reporting and present key metrics to leadership.

  • Oversee supplier quality and ensure traceability of all products and materials.

Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations (OSHA, RCRA, Clean Air/Water Acts, EPCRA, etc.).

  • Partner with external consultants to stay current on regulatory changes and implement updates.

  • Conduct risk assessments, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), noise exposure evaluations, and PPE audits.

  • Develop and lead facility-wide safety training programs and maintain all related documentation.

  • Build and maintain EHS tools such as training matrices, inspection schedules, and 5S audit systems.

  • Foster a proactive safety culture by leading health and safety initiatives and engaging team members at all levels.


Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of experience in a quality and/or EHS role within a manufacturing environment.

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO quality standards, compliance audits, and QMS best practices.

  • Strong understanding of EHS regulations, risk assessments, and workplace safety programs.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data tracking, analysis, and reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first approach.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
