Job Full Description
Position: Quality Inspector
Pay: $19/hour
Location: Monroe, NC
Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:00pm

A Union County small business with over 30 years in operation, seeking a motivated individual to work independently. The role requires attention to detail and basic Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and test raw materials to identify quality issues before they enter production.
- Perform visual inspections for labels, packaging, and contaminants on incoming materials and finished products.
- Assist in testing materials using equipment for tests such as extruder strip bend, melt flow, bulk density and compression tests.
- Inspect finished goods daily from production lines.
- Operate lab extruder and prepare samples for testing.
- Maintain, calibrate, and clean lab equipment and the quality lab area.
- Track and store samples, and maintain inventory and test results.
- Manage documentation related to raw materials and finished goods quality.
- Quarantine and label rejected materials and issue rejection reports.
- Operate a forklift to move material
- Pull pellets out to weigh and test
This position requires a strong eye for detail, ability to work independently, and basic proficiency in Excel.
