Machine Operator
Local company who designs, manufactures, warehouse, and ships from Granville County is seeking to add machine operators to the night shift. For this position you will train on 1st then transfer to night once training period has been completed.
Pay: $17/hour for training
Shift: Train 1st shift - Will transfer to Nights
What to Expect on the Job
- Securely plan and lay out orders for the upcoming job, ensuring effective order/print/control measures are in place.
- Thoroughly review Work Order Instructions to understand job requirements and specifications.
- Execute the processing of move tickets to facilitate the smooth transition between jobs.
- Retrieve all necessary part tooling and machine tooling for the job at hand.
- Remove tooling, scrap, and paperwork from the previous job on the machine and gage table.
- Submit all gauging from the previous job and request gauges for the new job.
- Conduct sample production runs to achieve setup approval, adhering to required standards.
- Operate the machine after setup approval, ensuring efficient production runs.
- Gauge parts in accordance with the control plan throughout the shift.
- Pre-wash parts at the end of the shift and organize them for pickup by the washer operator for further cleaning.
- Complete move tickets and include an okay ticket, placing them in the designated work area.
- Provide necessary notes or instructions for the next operator, as required
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Machine Operator or similar role.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow precise instructions.
- Basic math skills
- Basic Mechanical skills
- HS, GED, or Equivalent diploma
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, to meet deadlines.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to maintain a clean work area.
