Manufacturing Test Technician
Location: Butner, NC
Job Type: Full-time
Schedule: Day shift with overtime as needed
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Test Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will test, troubleshoot, and validate electronic remediation systems and control assemblies to ensure they meet engineering and quality standards. You’ll work closely with engineering, production, and control panel teams to resolve issues, document findings, and support continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, and correct functional issues (simple to medium complexity) using wiring diagrams, schematics, and engineering drawings.
- Perform system variance testing based on engineering instructions and knowledge of electronic components.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and control panel teams to resolve physical and design nonconformance issues.
- Assist engineering in developing and improving testing procedures.
- Train new testers on test techniques and equipment operation when needed.
- Perform final inspection on all tested units.
- Document test results, findings, and corrective actions.
- Work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
- Support production needs by working overtime when required.
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Preferred Education:
- Associate degree in Electronics or related technical field, or equivalent technical school training
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field is a plus
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical principles and power management
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics (simple to medium complexity)
- Knowledge of PLC interfaces, basic programming, and networking is a strong plus
- Familiarity with LO/TO procedures and OSHA electrical safety standards
