Job Full Description
A local Baptist church is hiring an office administrator to oversee the daily operation of the church office, ensuring that administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
Qualifications needed:
- High School Diploma with 3-5 years of professional office experience required
- Associate degree in Business Administration preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Publisher, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Ability to handle confidential information appropriately
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Willingness to work outside the typical business hours on occasion, as needed
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Conduct all business and communications in a Christlike manner and in accordance with the Church Constitution and Bylaws
- Provide general office duties to include, but not limited to: answering phone, monitoring door, receiving guests, dispersing messages, distributing mail, responding to email and voicemails, maintaining the church calendar
- Maintain all church membership information
- Assist the Pastor, as well as other church staff, workers, and committee leaders as needed
- Notify janitor and/or property committee chairman of operational, service, & equipment needs
- Ensure required reports are completed and filed in a timely manner
- Prepare and distribute the church newsletter monthly and the prayer guide weekly
- Coordinate phone tree messages as needed
- Maintain a professional appearance that honors Christ and represents Him and the Church well in the community
The pay is $18/hr and the role is a full time position, with hours typically 8-4:30.
