Job Full Description

• Production Oversight: Lead daily operations for PVC pipe extrusion lines, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
• Staff Planning: Plan staffing and production schedules to align with output and safety expectations.
• Material Management: Oversee bulk material handling and ensure consistent material quality.
• Performance Monitoring: Track production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement improvements.
• Troubleshooting: Collaborate with maintenance and quality teams to resolve operational issues.
• Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with safety regulations (e.g., OSHA) and product quality standards.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor production staff, supporting their development and performance management.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or process operations.
• At least 3 years in a supervisory role, preferably in a plastic extrusion environment.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality systems.
• Proficient in troubleshooting production equipment and processes.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Working Conditions

• Environment: Combination of office and manufacturing settings, requiring regular presence on the production floor.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and lift items up to 25 pounds.
• Availability: Must support 24/7 operations, including after-hours and weekend coverage when necessary. Shifts are generally 12 hours.
