Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Manager/Estimator with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the heavy civil and asphalt sectors. This leadership-level position reports directly to the President of the company. The ideal candidate will manage complex projects from conception to completion while ensuring accuracy in estimating and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of heavy civil and asphalt projects, ensuring timely and on-budget completion.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project teams to create project schedules and manage resources effectively.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members to maintain project alignment.
- Review and negotiate contract terms with clients and subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management and estimating within the heavy civil and asphalt industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
- Heavy highway/DOT project experience is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully leading teams and managing large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Proficiency in estimating software and project management tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
