Our client is seeking a Product Engineer #COH
Painesville, Ohio.
This is a full-time, onsite, direct hire opportunity. Pay is $85K-$140K BOE
About the Role:
The Product Engineer will support both current product maintenance (70%) and new product development (30%), collaborating with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to translate product requirements into actionable manufacturing processes. This role also identifies and implements improvements for existing products while maintaining or enhancing quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with Sales and Product Management to design and develop new products based on customer specifications.

Create drawings, communicate with customers, and secure necessary approvals.

Manage the engineering change process, completing drawings and ensuring changes are implemented.

Develop and maintain BOMs and Routers for new and current parts.

Facilitate efficient new product transfer to the production floor through design reviews and validations with process engineers.

Participate in process and test development for successful product launches.

Work with prototype labs to produce samples for customer approval.

Assist in designing and creating tooling and fixtures as needed.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Mechanical or Electrical product development.

Proficiency with SolidWorks and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).

Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes a plus.

Basic machine shop knowledge (mills, lathes, etc.); machine programming a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to collaborate across Engineering, Quality, Production, and Customer teams.

Self-motivated, innovative, and able to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Must be a US Citizen or permanent US resident.
