Our client in Chesterland, has an immediate need for an Accounting/Service Administrator!
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Has telephone and personal contact with customers and employees regarding service installation calls.
- Will be responsible for ordering all stock inventory and shop supplies for the company using the J & L Door service, Inc. Purchasing Procedure.
- Receives incoming material (the paperwork, not actually handling the material)
- Will review technician’s paper work and prepare for invoicing.
- Will produce and maintain weekly the Open Order Report.
- Will assist in producing the daily schedule.
- Will provide information to the Service Manager in order to produce the daily schedule.
- Will contact customers and set-up planned maintenance and fire door testing.
- Will handle all incoming calls related to residential inquiries.
- Will quote all new door residential inquiries.
- Adherence to all J & L Door, Inc. policies and procedures as listed in the employee handbook.
- Performs other duties to facilitate functioning of business as required.
QUALITIES POSSESSED:
- Detailed knowledge of all product lines offered by J & L Door Service, Inc.
- A good understanding of the service / construction process
- Great attention to detail
- Great communication skills both written and verbal
- Must be well organized
- The ability to multi-task
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Basic accounting skills
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Prior scheduling experience in a construction related field
- A two-year degree in Business and or four years of experience in a construction related field
CONTACT WITH OTHERS: This job will require contact with both internal and external customers. The contact will be for the purpose of obtaining information, advising the customer, solving problems, and explaining pertinent information to other areas of the company. Communication Protocol is required.
CONFIDENTIAL DATA: This job will require the use of confidential pricing and costing information that should not be disclosed to the customer or any outside source.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR ACCURACY: This job requires the individual to obtain, create, and communicate accurate information. Errors in interpreting information between the customer and other departments could result in the improper installation, wrong product type, faulty design and manufacture of a product. This could result in lost revenue and customer goodwill.
MENTAL EFFORT: Work is intermittent between telephone conversations, sales calls and computer input, which requires close mental attention to detail. This job is subject to frequent interruptions dealing with a wide array of tasks.
RESOURCEFULNESS AND INITIATIVE: Job requires discretion and independent judgment as it pertains to obtaining and disseminating information.
