Our client in Middlefield, OH, is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join their team. As an Operator, you will be responsible for operating a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. #COH
Responsibilities:
- 1st Shifts Available
- Operate conventional and computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Monitor machine operations to ensure accuracy and quality
- Perform routine maintenance on machinery
- Inspect machined parts to ensure they meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot machine issues and perform repairs as needed
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role (3 years preferred)
- Proficiency in operating manual and CNC Lathe machinery
- Solid understanding of machining techniques and tooling
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Vocational training or apprenticeship in machining or related field
- Certification in machining or CNC programming
- Experience with CAD/CAM software
