Job Full Description
General Laborer needed for a client in Mentor. You will be responsible for supporting various functions within the production and coating process. This includes preparing metal parts for coating, assisting in racking/unracking operations, quality checking, maintaining cleanliness of work areas, and ensuring timely and efficient workflow in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with loading and unloading metal parts on racking systems for powder coating or other finishing processes.
- Clean, sand, or prepare metal surfaces before coating using hand tools or mechanical equipment.
- Inspect finished products for defects or quality issues and report any inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate basic machinery or equipment under supervision.
- Pack and label completed parts for shipping or storage.
- Assist with inventory handling and organization of supplies.
- Perform general plant maintenance and support other departments as needed.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and lead personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment.
- Willingness to work overtime or varied shifts if required.
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance record.
