Job Title: Shear Operator – 1st Shift
Location: Willoughby, OH
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Shear Operator to join our team on 1st Shift at our Willoughby facility. The ideal candidate will have prior experience operating industrial shearing equipment and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes.
Key Responsibilities:

Set up and operate power shears to cut metal sheets to specified dimensions

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, or production schedules

Measure and inspect materials for accuracy and quality using gauges and measuring tools

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Perform routine maintenance on equipment as needed

Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications:
-
Previous experience as a Shear Operator or in a metal fabrication environment preferred

Ability to read measuring instruments (tape measure, calipers, micrometers)

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs

Dependable with good attendance and punctuality
