An award-winning local Chamber of Commerce is seeking a Marketing and Events Manager to assist with the mission and continued growth of the Chamber. #2931PR 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Marketing

  • Write and design engaging copy for communications/marketing materials including e-newsletters, brochures, web pages, and social media
  • Design fliers, layout for newsletters, brochures
  • Track the success of E-blast campaigns, website analytics, and social media engagement
  • Implement digital membership attraction and retention strategies
  • Assist in Special Events and Programs with digital marketing support
  • Develop and enhance the Chamber brand through events such as Golf Outing, Holiday Events, Annual Meeting, as well as breakfast and luncheon workshops
  • Manage digital media networks including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and other adopted platforms, including daily posts
  • Send out press releases and notifications to local publications for events to be listed on various calendars throughout Lake County

 

 

Events

  • Assist the Committee Chairs and Committees with planning and execution of signature events
  • Create programs and other collateral materials
  • Onsite coordination and assistance
  • Coordinate event locations and finalize event details for Chamber meetings (coffee networks, breakfasts, luncheons, etc.)

 

Membership

  • Attend Chamber events
  • Ability to speak and sell the benefits of the chamber
  • Coordinate the quarterly new member meetings, and distribution of all new member welcome packages
  • Assist with coordinating the deliverables for Chamber Members throughout the year and database management

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communication or Marketing
  • Marketing and Events experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience managing social media channels/accounts across multiple platforms that drive membership and engagement.
  • Independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with Canva, Microsoft Office, Adobe, WordPress, InDesign, Illustrator, database management, web content management, social media platforms
  • Attention to detail
  • Some knowledge of content creation and blog

 

HOURS

Full Time Position, Monday- Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am-Noon with some weekend and evening responsibilities.  Flexible schedule.
