Our client in Willoughby, OH is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity on 2nd shift. Compensation ranges from $38–$43/hour.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair AC/DC systems, motor drives, PLCs, sensors, control panels, and production equipment
- Diagnose and maintain mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Perform emergency repairs and scheduled preventive maintenance
- Set up, align, and calibrate equipment to meet performance standards
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety protocols
Preventive Maintenance
- Maintain and support PM schedules using CMMS systems
- Track maintenance activities and identify opportunities to reduce downtime
- Contribute to maintenance planning and continuous improvement efforts
Facility & Utilities Support
- Maintain building systems including electrical, compressed air, HVAC, and lighting
- Manage inventory of maintenance parts and critical spares
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
Safety, Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to OSHA, NFPA 70E, and company safety standards
- Utilize required PPE and follow electrical safety procedures
- Report equipment, safety, and process concerns promptly
Production Support
- Partner with production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently
- Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
- Assist during critical maintenance events and downtime situations
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electrical troubleshooting skills
- Experience with AC/DC systems, VFDs, PLCs, and industrial equipment
- Proficiency with electrical diagnostic and mechanical tools
- Experience using CMMS/PM systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics, ladder logic, and equipment diagrams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Electrical or electromechanical certification or degree
- Journeyman Electrician license or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of industrial maintenance experience
- Experience with flexographic printing equipment (e.g., Mark Andy, Nilpeter, MPS, or similar)
- Experience with CMMS platforms such as Fiix, eMaint, or Maintenance Connection
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, inks, and chemicals
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces as needed
- Availability for emergency maintenance support, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
