Manual Machinist – 3rd Shift
Location: Painesville, OH
Pay: $24.00–$26.00/hour (based on experience) + $2.00/hour shift differential
Our client in Painesville is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist for their 3rd shift team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to join a stable manufacturing company with competitive pay and long-term potential.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders, and other manual machining equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders.
- Machine parts to precise tolerances and quality standards.
- Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools.
- Perform machine adjustments and routine maintenance as needed.
- Deburr and finish machined components.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while following company safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of manual machining experience.
- Strong blueprint reading and shop math skills.
- Experience using precision measuring instruments.
- Knowledge of machining tolerances and quality standards.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently on 3rd shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of metal materials.
