CNC Setup Operator / Programmer (Mazak Lathe & Milling) – 3rd Shift
Location: Painesville, OH
Pay: $28.00–$30.00/hour (based on experience) + $2.00/hour shift differential

Our client in Painesville is seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator/Programmer for 3rd shift. The ideal candidate will have experience programming, setting up, and operating Mazak CNC lathes and milling machines while maintaining high quality and production standards.

Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes and milling machines.
• Edit and optimize CNC programs to improve efficiency and quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.
• Select and install tooling, fixtures, and machine offsets.
• Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make program or tooling adjustments as needed.
• Maintain tight tolerances and ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working order.
• Follow all safety and quality procedures.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of CNC setup and programming experience preferred.
• Experience with Mazak CNC lathes and machining centers required.
• Mazatrol programming experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of G-Code and M-Code programming.
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T.
• Proficient with micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of machined parts.
