Our client in Painesville, OH is seeking an experienced Lead Maintenance Technician for a brand-new, 111-unit apartment community opening in October. The selected candidate will ideally begin in September to assist with property preparation and become familiar with company operations before residents move in.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for a self-motivated maintenance professional who can work independently. As the sole maintenance team member at the property, you will be responsible for maintaining the community, responding to resident service requests, and ensuring the property remains safe, clean, and well-maintained.
Lead Maintenance Technician – Painesville, OH
Pay: $18.00–$27.00/hour (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Responsibilities
- Perform general apartment maintenance and repairs.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and appliance issues.
- Complete preventative maintenance and unit turn preparations.
- Perform carpentry, painting, drywall, and general handyman repairs.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain the appearance and safety of the property, including common areas and grounds.
- Coordinate with property management to prioritize work orders and property needs.
- Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, or property maintenance experience required.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC diagnostics, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, appliances, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage daily maintenance operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
