Our client, a growing manufacturer in Northeast Ohio, is seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Injection Mold Technician to support plastic injection molding operations. This hands-on role is responsible for optimizing molding processes, troubleshooting production issues, maintaining molds and equipment, and ensuring high-quality product output in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3rd Shift 7:30pm to 6:00AM
Pay $25-$35/hr based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, troubleshoot, and optimize plastic injection molding processes to meet production and quality goals.
- Adjust process parameters and machine settings to improve efficiency, cycle times, and product quality.
- Identify and resolve molding, tooling, and production issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine mold maintenance and coordinate repairs or modifications when necessary.
- Monitor production runs and inspect parts to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze production data and recommend process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to achieve operational objectives.
- Maintain accurate production and process documentation.
- Follow all company safety policies and manufacturing procedures.
Qualifications
Required:
- 2024 Milacron Machine experience required
- Previous experience in plastic injection molding, mold setup, or process technician roles.
- Strong understanding of injection molding machines, tooling, resins, and manufacturing processes.
- Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
- Degree or technical training in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with scientific molding principles.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
