Support Staff (Animal Care & Facility Support)

Location: Novelty, OH
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Schedule: Thursday through Monday

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Support Staff team member to assist with daily facility operations and animal care support duties. This role plays an important part in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for animals, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize animal cages, kennels, and common areas according to established procedures.
• Assist with sorting, organizing, and storing donated supplies and materials.
• Wash, dry, fold, and distribute laundry, including animal bedding, towels, and facility linens.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the facility.
• Support staff with general housekeeping and operational tasks as needed.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the daily needs of the facility are met.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Comfortable working around animals in a shelter or care environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
