Senior Costing Analyst

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $70,000–$90,000/year


Job Summary

A local organization is seeking a Senior Costing Analyst to manage product costing, audit processes, and inventory reconciliation. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with departments such as sales, production, and materials management.


Key Responsibilities

Daily Duties:

  • Monitor product changes and respond to Product Change Orders (PCOs)
  • Review quotes and pricing for Sales Change Requests and Customizations
  • Attend daily and/or weekly staff meetings
  • Track scrap tickets and ensure damage reports are submitted by plant departments
  • Review daily Sales Orders for homes coming off-line and correct BOM errors
  • Modify BOMs as needed based on authorized PCOs or production material changes
  • Attend card reads as necessary

Monthly Duties:

  • Audit at least one model and 12 options per month (prototypes or re-audits)
  • Cost options required for prototype BOMs
  • Review PCOs for start dates
  • Update cost of base units or options to reflect true or revised costs
  • Key damaged materials reported (DMR) into the system and investigate anomalies

Month-End Duties:

  • Calculate and submit Option and Base Audit percentages
  • Review BOM relief for errors and submit journal entries to Home Office Accountant
  • Review IGPS receiving reports for non-file purchases and anomalies in PPV

Physical Inventory:

  • Assist Materials Manager in preparing for physical inventory
  • Participate in conducting and reconciling physical inventory
  • Required to work all plant inventories

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in cost analysis, accounting, or manufacturing finance
  • Strong Excel and data management skills
  • Familiarity with BOMs, PCOs, and inventory systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
