Job Posting: Lead Belting Technician
Location: Rock Hill, SC
Work Schedule: Up to 75% travel; Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (when not traveling). During travel, work days may extend to 12-14 hours, with trips lasting 2-3 days at a time.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour, depending on experience

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Lead Belting Technician for a direct hire position with a leading manufacturing company in Rock Hill, SC. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in the rock quarry industry and heavy black belt industrial conveyor systems.
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Repair: Install, repair, and replace conveyor belts and systems at customer sites and in the workshop.
- Mechanical Maintenance: Perform basic mechanical maintenance on conveyor systems.
- Vulcanizing/Splicing: Experience in vulcanizing and splicing heavy rubber conveyor belting is required.
- Travel: Frequent travel to customer sites, with extended workdays during trips.
- Rigging Gear: Utilize rigging gear such as overhead cranes and winches.
- Belt Maintenance: Cut, splice, vulcanize, repair conveyor belts, and clean belts as needed.
- Documentation: Complete necessary paperwork, ensure specifications are met, and customer orders are completed.
Requirements:
- Rock Quarry Industry Experience: Must have experience with heavy black belt industrial quarry conveyors.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in vulcanizing, splicing, and repairing conveyor belts.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel frequently and work extended hours when traveling.
- Safety and Efficiency: Ability to use rigging gear and complete tasks efficiently and safely.
