Express Employment Professionals in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Chemical Packer for a chemical manufacturing facility in York, SC. This is a great opportunity for individuals with warehouse, forklift, or chemical industry experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Position Details Chemical / Packer
- Pay: $19.00/hour
- Schedule: Monday-Friday
- Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Overtime: Required as needed
- Work Environment: Very hot warehouse environment
- Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes or boots required
Job Responsibilities Chemical / Packer
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
- Filling, lifting, rolling, and labeling drums and pails
- Working with hazardous chemicals while following all safety procedures
- Completing required paperwork and documentation for product batches
- Following OSHA standards and safe work practices
- Monitoring materials and inventory as needed
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Performing other warehouse and production duties as assigned
Qualifications Chemical / Packer
- Chemical industry experience preferred
- Prior forklift experience preferred
- Basic math and computer skills required
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus, but training may be provided for qualified candidates
