Job Title: CNC Operator & Maintenance Coordinator
Department: Cabinetry
Position Location: Charlotte NC
Pay: $21.00/hr
POSITION SUMMARY:
The CNC Operator & Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for running all of the CNC machinery and maintaining the machinery as well. To be successful the operator/coordinator must be able to effectively communicate with engineers and clients who will use the programs and have a thorough understanding of machine shop fabrication and good manufacturing practices.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, maintain and adjust equipment as needed
- Run all manufacturing machinery (CNC, Edgebander, etc.)
- Run ancillary machinery
- Assist operations manager on job priorities
- Perform tasks as delegated by operations manager
- Choose cutting tools that will be required
- Coordinate job order and perform necessary adjustments
- Comply with all safety rules and regulations.
- Perform all aspects of CNC operating
- Help lead machine shop personnel
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Two years relevant experience
- Possess effective CNC operating skills
- Excellent reading comprehension
- Good math skills
- Ability to accurately read blueprints
- Must be an effective listener
- Excellent PC skills including MS Office Suite
- Knowledge of standard machine shop practices and tooling
- Basic experience in working with measurement equipment such as rulers, calipers
- Must be self-motivated with strong organizational skills, hands on, detail oriented – excellent time management skills
- Ability to work effectively while managing multiple priorities concurrently
- Problem solver: ability to exercise independent judgment on immediate situations with cost, policy, and reputation ramifications
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision as well as in a team environment
