Job Title: Chemical Operator
Position Summary
Chemical Operator
The Chemical Operator is responsible for operating chemical plant equipment and managing assigned chemical processes in accordance with established operating procedures. This role monitors process conditions, adjusts equipment controls, and ensures safe and efficient production while following standard work methods and safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
Chemical Operator
- Operate a variety of chemical process equipment, including reaction systems, distillation systems, filters, extractors, reactors, pumps, and centrifuges
- Load and unload raw materials, intermediates, and finished products into and out of process equipment
- Monitor process instruments, gauges, and control panels
- Adjust valves, controls, and gauges to maintain proper operating conditions
- Interpret chemical reactions and process data to ensure quality and consistency
- Follow prescribed operating procedures, safety standards, and standard work practices
- Maintain accurate process documentation and reports
- Use required personal protective equipment, including respirators
- Support housekeeping and basic equipment checks as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
Chemical Operator
- Previous chemical manufacturing or processing experience preferred
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate and troubleshoot equipment
- Experience working with corrosive materials and acids preferred
- Ability to safely wear a respirator and other required PPE
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Commitment to safety and compliance in a chemical processing environment
Schedule

- 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM (hours may vary based on production needs)
