Rigging Specialist
Location: Rock Hill, SC
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Position Overview
Rigging Specialist
We are hiring a Rigging Specialist to support daily rigging operations at our yard and on job sites. This role works closely with a rigging team to safely prepare, move, and secure heavy loads using cranes, trucks, and heavy equipment. Safety, precision, and teamwork are essential in this hands-on position.
Key Responsibilities
Rigging Specialist
- Perform rigging operations with the rigging team to move heavy loads safely
- Set up trucks and trailers for transport of rigged loads
- Operate overhead cranes and assist with crane lifts
- Rig and secure loads using chains, slings, hooks, and other rigging equipment
- Operate heavy equipment as required for lifting and positioning materials
- Use hand tools and rigging tools in the yard and at job sites
- Inspect rigging equipment for wear, damage, and safety compliance
- Follow job plans, lift plans, and safety procedures at all times
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with loading, unloading, and staging materials
- Work efficiently as part of a team in fast-paced environments
Qualifications
Rigging Specialist
- Previous rigging experience preferred
- Experience working with overhead cranes and heavy equipment
- Knowledge of rigging practices, load securement, and weight capacities
- Ability to safely rig and move heavy loads (tons)
- Comfortable working outdoors and on active job sites
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate clearly with team members
- Physically able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills
Rigging Specialist
- NCCCO, rigging, or crane-related certifications (a plus)
- Forklift or equipment operation experience
- Basic understanding of load calculations and rigging angles
Work Environment

- Combination of yard work and job-site work
- Heavy equipment and overhead crane operations
- PPE required as directed
