Job Full Description

We’re looking for 2 skilled Maintenance Technicians to support the upkeep and performance of complex mechanical and electrical equipment in a busy, high-output production setting. This role partners closely with our local engineering and operations teams to keep machines and systems running reliably. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, diagnosing issues, and carrying out repairs to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule.

Responsibilities: 

 

This position focuses on keeping critical production equipment running at peak performance. You’ll handle both scheduled upkeep and urgent repairs, using diagnostic tools and operational checks to ensure reliability. The role works closely with our internal engineering team and outside vendors to maximize equipment output and efficiency. Mastery of the machines’ electrical, electronic, and mechanical elements is key, including familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, process controllers, and PLCs.

 

Core Duties Include:

  • Installing, servicing, and repairing a variety of electrical and mechanical systems across the production floor.

  • Conducting both routine and unscheduled maintenance to reduce downtime.

  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and fixing equipment issues promptly.

  • Adjusting, testing, and upgrading machinery to maintain safe, effective performance.

  • Adhering to all environmental, safety, and PPE requirements in line with OSHA and company standards.

  • Coordinating with engineers, OEMs, and technical specialists to ensure optimal equipment operation.

  • Carrying out preventive maintenance using computerized tracking systems.

  • Introducing and following best practices to boost operational efficiency.

  • Reading and applying schematic and electrical diagrams during repair and installation.

  • Servicing and replacing essential electromechanical parts like sensors, motors, and displays.

  • Calibrating instruments and ensuring they meet required specifications.

  • Working with teammates to analyze data and fine-tune system performance.

  • Updating control software and performing routine security checks to maintain system integrity.

  • Pitching in with other facility or operations needs when required.

 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • An associate degree in electromechanical, electrical/electronic technology, or completion of a technical program in industrial maintenance is preferred; comparable hands-on experience in a high-tech production setting or equivalent military training will also be considered.

  • At least five years’ experience performing maintenance in a similar environment.

  • Solid mechanical aptitude with a strong grasp of manufacturing systems and equipment.

  • Skilled in working with electrical and electronic components, systems, and programming.

  • Thorough knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.

  • Demonstrated troubleshooting ability and keen attention to detail.

  • Capable of interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

  • Able to detect faulty equipment using observation and diagnostic tests.

  • Procures and manages spare parts and consumables needed for maintenance tasks.

  • Performs regular inspections, shutdowns, and disassembly of machinery when required.

  • Hands-on experience with PLCs and computer-based diagnostic or control tools.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Flexibility to work alternative shifts or weekends to support continuous operations.

  • Physically able to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.

 

We have a Maintenance opening on 2 different shifts.  One will work a weekday shift (10 hour shifts, 4 days per week) and the other will work a weekend shift (10 hour shifts, Friday thru Monday).

 

Pay will be based on knowledge and industry experience.
