Plant Manager
Pay DOE, 1st shift
JOB SUMMARY: The Plant Manager directs, plans, and coordinates plant operations to meet customer demands and to attain set financial and strategic goals for the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. The Plant manager is responsible for providing technical and managerial support to the ongoing operations of the plant, establishing and maintaining standard operation procedures within company and corporate administrative guidelines.
2. The Plant Manager analyzes financial performance of the plant of a regular basis, making necessary adjustments and developing long and short term operation plans.
3. The Plant Manager works closely with Sales and Engineering to establish and promote customer/supplier relations.
4. The Plant Manager recommends operation budgets, reviews questions on salaried personnel staffing, and makes recommendations for capital expenditure.
5. The Plant Manager furnishes monthly reports to the General Manager or VP of Operations.
6. Must maintain positive employee relations.
7. Leads plant strategic planning as well as participating in divisional planning.
8. Participates in safety training as position requires and observes all plant safety rules.
9. Develop direct reports and manage Plant/Facility performance.
10. Keep direct reports regularly informed (through department meetings and one on one discussions of company policies, practices, and procedures and ensure corrective action is promptly taken when required).
11. Ensure employees have sufficient job training and information to efficiently perform their tasks.
12. Represent the company’s interests and capabilities in visits to, and conversations with, our current and potential customers in support of sales initiatives to get new business and maintain current business.
13. Other assignments or tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance from an accredited University or related experience and education.
2. 5 years related progressive Manufacturing experience.
3. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
4. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy.
5. Must be willing to travel, possibly overnight.
6. Must maintain strict confidentiality.
7. Excellent computer skills: Windows, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
