Paint Technician
Pay: $18
Schedule: Full-Time | Day Shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Paint Technician to join a production team. This role is responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to manufactured products while ensuring all work meets quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paint coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers
- Ensure proper color matching, thickness, and finish quality
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed
- Inspect finished products for quality and correct any defects or imperfections
- Mix and prepare paint materials to proper specifications
- Operate and maintain painting equipment to ensure consistent results
- Perform routine maintenance and report equipment issues as needed
- Maintain inventory of paints, solvents, and related supplies
- Assist with moving products to drying areas and staging for next steps
- Load, unload, and stack materials for continued production or packaging
- Operate equipment such as forklifts or cranes (as required)
- Apply seam sealers and other finishing materials
- Keep work areas and paint booths clean and organized
- Follow all safety procedures and properly use required PPE
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in painting or a similar manufacturing role preferred
- Knowledge of paint application techniques and surface preparation
- Ability to mix, match, and apply finishes accurately
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a painting environment
- Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
- Frequent use of hands and tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Ability to safely operate a forklift (certification preferred or willing to obtain)
Work Environment
- Industrial/manufacturing setting
- Exposure to paint, solvents, and chemicals (PPE required)
- Fast-paced production environment
