Job Summary
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled Welder to join a manufacturing and fabrication team. This position is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to assemble metal components while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks, including MIG and other applicable welding processes, to join metal components according to technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications.
- Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal components such as tanks, frames, brackets, and other structural parts.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity in accordance with industry standards.
- Safely handle welding materials, gases, and equipment while following established safety procedures.
- Maintain welding equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Work collaboratively with fabrication and production team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Troubleshoot welding or assembly issues and assist in resolving fabrication challenges.
- Maintain records of welding activities, materials used, and any adjustments made to procedures.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Operate equipment such as cranes, forklifts, or other material-handling equipment as required.
- Assist other team members as needed and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous welding or metal fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Knowledge of MIG welding and other welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing or shop environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
