Automotive Mechanic
Pay: $20+ DOESchedule: Mon-Fri 8-5
Job Summary:
As an Automotive Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in our organization, responsible for the repair and maintenance of our diverse fleet of vehicles. Your expertise in automotive technologies will be instrumental in keeping our operations running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, electrical, and suspension components
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve complex mechanical issues
- Maintain detailed records of all repair and service work performed
- Collaborate with the transportation team to ensure timely and effective vehicle turnaround
Qualifications:
- Formal training or certification in automotive repair, such as an associate's degree or vocational certificate
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic, preferably in a commercial or fleet setting
- Strong working knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostic procedures, and repair techniques
- Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Working Conditions:
This is a temporary to hire position, with the potential to transition to a permanent, full-time role. The work environment is an active automotive repair shop, which may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and physical demands such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
